Bedside Reading

The library

In September 1995, the CAN put on an “exhibition” titled Bedside Reading. A letter was mailed to about a hundred artists, asking them to send us their bedside book. The books received were first of all arrayed on a table, and subsequently added to our library collection. This is therefore an “exhibition” in progress, in so far as books are still being sent to us, as their donators’ whims, meetings and requests dictate.
