Throughout the exhibition, visitors are invited to contribute to La Bibliothèque des Ready-Mades by donating an object to be recycled and recontextualized in an art collection.

Donations can be dropped off at CAN during opening hours, or preferably during the opening reception on October 3, the event on November 1, or the closing reception on December 19.

During the opening hours of the exhibition “No Center”,
“à portée de main” by Bureaucracy Studies displays
artworks and documents by:
•  Florian Bonny, Charlie Froud
•  CASE (Nicholas Tammens, Sung Tieu, Studio for Propositional Cinema)
•  Kyung Roh Bannwart, Sung Tieu, Ernie Wang
•  Musée Ariana Genève, L’Atelier des musées (Ville de Neuchâtel)

As part of CAN’s 30th anniversary program, this exhibition explores the notion of the “center” in the label “art center”. By questioning the legitimacy of this term, the CAN team and artists attempt an institutional self-criticism and invite reflection on the accessibility and professionalization of art, the criteria for selecting artists, and the exhibition as a space for conviviality.
