Héloïse Chassepot was in residency at the CAN since the beginning of August until the beginning of October. During this period, she was creating a new body of work, which is currently shown in the Studio, in a solo exhibition entitled Sadness Circuit. Inspired by medical imaging, a series of airbrushed paintings evoke microscopic views of the interiors of living bodies; synapses, neural networks. If their starting point is in the scientific field, the associations to esoteric new age imagery do not seem so far away. In a holistic approach to art, she creates a network between these paintings and ergonomic furniture objects that she reappropriates.
