No Center

On the occasion of CAN’s 30th anniversary, No Center introduces a self-critical dimension, questioning the very functioning of the art centre.

The exhibition foregrounds the principle of decentering, opening a space in which the loss of control becomes a source of inspiration and where artists’ voices take precedence. It takes the form of around twenty proposals, initiatives, and interventions that conceive of the art centre as a place for living, experimentation, production, artistic display, and conviviality.

Marked by a series of events and public meals held every Thursday, No Center creates opportunities for meaningful encounters between visitors and artists, encouraging dialogue and exchange around contemporary artistic practices. It is a way of sharing CAN’s collective memory while imagining its future possibilities.
